Egyptian airport employee honored for exemplary honesty
Egypt’s Minister of Civil Aviation has recognized Abdou El Sayed Mohamed, a ground coordinator at Cairo International Airport, for his honesty and professionalism. While on duty, Mr. Mohamed found a bag containing valuable gold jewelry and personal items—worth approximately 2.5 million Egyptian pounds—left in the arrivals area.
He immediately alerted airport security. After investigation, the lost items were safely returned to their owner, a Kuwaiti passenger, with all authorities present.
During the ceremony, Minister Dr. Sameh El Hefny praised Mr. Mohamed’s integrity, describing him as a role model for all airport staff and commending his embodiment of the highest ethical standards in the aviation sector. Mr. Mohamed was presented with a certificate of appreciation and a financial reward in recognition of his exemplary actions.
The Ministry noted this celebration reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting positive behavior and promoting a culture of honesty and dedication within civil aviation.
