Jordan’s King: Two-state solution key to regional stability
Jordan’s King Abdullah II has reaffirmed that a two-state solution remains the only way to achieve lasting stability in the Middle East. He emphasized the importance of the upcoming conference hosted by the United Nations in New York from June 17 to 20, which is being organized jointly by France and Saudi Arabia.
According to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), King Abdullah made these remarks during separate meetings in Nice, France, on Monday with Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides, Monaco’s Prince Albert II, and United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres.
These meetings are part of the King’s ongoing efforts to galvanize international support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and to stress the necessity of ensuring their steadfast presence on their land.
