RSA CEO announces major expansion in Egypt
RSA, a global leader in security-first identity solutions, is moving forward with ambitious expansion plans in Egypt, CEO Greg Nelson revealed at a high-level presidential roundtable in Cairo this week. The event brought together representatives from more than 50 top Egyptian and international technology corporations, demonstrating Egypt’s growing role as a digital powerhouse on the global stage.
The announcement follows a key Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between RSA and Egypt’s Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) during the prestigious Global Offshoring Summit. This partnership will see RSA expanding its Center of Excellence in Cairo, strengthening its commitment to both the Egyptian workforce and the country’s robust digital infrastructure.
“RSA has been in Cairo for over a decade, and today nearly every part of our company benefits from the expertise of our Cairo team,” said Nelson. “Their talent, drive, and energy fuel our ability to innovate and support our customers. We will continue to invest and grow here as we build the future of cybersecurity together.”
Over the next three years, RSA plans to increase its investments and recruit new local talent, aligned with Egypt’s broader strategy to foster sustainable employment opportunities for youth while reinforcing the nation’s thriving ICT sector.
The roundtable, attended by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Amr Talaat, underscored Egypt’s attractiveness for technology investment. Dr. Talaat highlighted that RSA’s agreement is part of a wider initiative involving 55 global and local companies expanding in Egypt, leveraging the country’s skilled workforce, advanced connectivity, and strategic location. “These competitive advantages strengthen Egypt’s position as a trusted global partner and enable companies to deliver world-class digital services, empowering enterprises to grow from Egypt to the world,” he affirmed.
Ahmed El-Zaher, CEO of ITIDA, emphasized Egypt’s evolution from a traditional service destination to a strategic global partner for high-value digital services. “In ITIDA, we view each new center and every expansion as a commitment — a commitment to grow it, and to ensure it achieves its full potential,” El-Zaher remarked.
RSA, trusted by over 9,000 high-security organizations globally, provides cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions to secure digital identities, detect threats, and ensure compliance across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments. As RSA continues to grow its team in Cairo, the company remains dedicated to empowering local talent and shaping the future of cybersecurity worldwide.
