Iran reports arrest of suspected Israeli intelligence agents, foils attacks
Iranian security forces have arrested two individuals suspected of working for the Israeli intelligence agency in Rey County, near Tehran, according to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency.
The authorities say the suspects were found in possession of over 200 kilograms of explosives, as well as equipment for 23 drones, launchers, and navigation and control devices.
Furthermore, Iranian officials reported that air defenses successfully intercepted and destroyed two Israeli drones over the city of Baqer Shahr. These measures are part of ongoing efforts to prevent what the authorities describe as “subversive operations” within the country.
The Iranian authorities also announced that they have identified 21 other individuals suspected of being connected to what they described as “Israeli terrorist activities” and of spreading rumors in Semnan Province, in northern Iran.
While the situation remains sensitive, Iran continues its security operations to address potential threats and maintain stability.
