Egypt establishes "New Egypt University" in 6th of October City
In an exciting development for higher education in Egypt, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has officially issued a presidential decree to establish a new private university, named “New Egypt University.” The institution will be located in the vibrant city of 6th of October, within Giza Governorate, an area known for its rapidly growing academic and industrial presence.

Financially, the university will operate with an independent budget, allowing it to reinvest surpluses into improving its educational services, supporting its foundation’s resilience, and rewarding founders as per mutually agreed terms.
A distinguished Board of Trustees will guide the university’s vision. The board members will come from among the founders and others, including the university president, prominent scientists and professors, experienced professionals, and respected public figures.
President El-Sisi’s decision, published in Egypt’s Official Gazette, is another important step towards advancing high-quality higher education and supporting the youth of Egypt and the region.
