Egypt launches first innovo applied technology school in landmark global partnership

In a historic step aimed at transforming Egypt’s educational landscape and workforce, Innovo, the National Academy for Science and Skills (NASS), and Singapore’s ITE Education Services (ITEES) have joined forces to launch Egypt’s first Innovo Applied Technology School in Cairo.

The new institution will offer world-class, hands-on education in fast-growing industries, including data centre technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, sustainable engineering, and information technology. By integrating internationally recognized academic methods with practical, real-world training, the initiative seeks to bridge critical skills gaps, create meaningful job opportunities, and prepare Egyptian youth for the industries of tomorrow.

The significance of the project was highlighted by the presence of Singapore’s President, H.E. Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, at the official signing ceremony in Cairo—a moment that underscored the partnership’s global reach and importance.

“This school will be a launchpad for Egypt’s next generation of innovators and industry leaders. By uniting global expertise with local ambition, Innovo is investing in talent that will drive Egypt’s economic growth and social progress,” said Bishoy Azmy, CEO of Innovo.

David Nabil, CEO of NASS, affirmed, “Partnering with Innovo and ITEES ensures our students receive world-class technical education tailored to Egypt’s needs—fuelling both personal advancement and industrial competitiveness.”

ITEES, drawing on Singapore’s highly respected technical and vocational educational model, will oversee the design of academic and training programmes, as well as quality assurance systems and staff development. The aim is to align the school with international standards, while responding to Egypt’s national priorities and workforce needs.

Suresh Natarajan, CEO of ITEES, said, “We are excited to bring Singapore’s proven expertise to Egypt. Together, we will develop an education model that equips students for future industries and supports the country’s growth.”

The Innovo Applied Technology School marks a major milestone in Egypt’s journey toward building a skilled, competitive workforce—positioning the nation as a regional hub for innovation and sustainable development.
