Palestinian official urges world action to aid Gaza, praises Egypt’s role

The Secretary of the Fatah Movement in the Netherlands, Zeid Teim, has expressed deep appreciation for Egypt’s ongoing efforts to support the Palestinian cause, particularly in the context of the current crisis in Gaza. In a statement to Al Qahera News Channel on Saturday, Mr. Teim also called on the global community to step up pressure on Israel to open border crossings, lift the blockade, and ensure the continuous delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Highlighting the urgency of the situation, Mr. Teim explained that Gaza now requires more than 1,000 aid trucks each day to meet the basic needs of its residents. He described the devastating collapse of health, humanitarian, and educational services in the region, as Israel continues what he described as a "war of genocide" against the Palestinian population.

Mr. Teim commended the growing international movement protesting Israeli policies in Gaza, including what he referred to as ongoing violence, starvation, destruction, and the targeting of all aspects of Palestinian life. He emphasized that the cause of Palestine remains resilient, surviving despite repeated efforts to eliminate it.

These remarks come as Egyptian sources confirm that mediators are intensifying efforts to facilitate the entry of more humanitarian aid into Gaza in the coming days.
