Russian Embassy in Cairo: Taba border remains open for travelers from Israel to Egypt
The Russian Embassy in Cairo has advised its citizens that the border crossing between Egypt and Israel at the city of Taba remains open and operational, despite the recent closure of Israeli airspace due to rising tensions in the Middle East.
For those needing to leave Israel, entry into Egypt through the Taba crossing is still possible, the statement said.
Upon arrival, travelers can obtain a free "Sinai stamp," which allows them to travel onward to Sharm el-Sheikh Airport.
From there, direct flights are available to various destinations, including Russia. Alternatively, travelers may opt to purchase a visa for $25 and fly from Cairo.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and are committed to assisting foreign nationals, especially those who need to leave Israel.
