As part of ongoing coordination and regular consultations between Egypt and fellow Arab nations, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, Dr. Badr Abdel Aaty, held a series of telephone conversations on July 9th and 10th with several high-ranking Arab officials.
Those included Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar; Mr. Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan; Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain; Mr. Ahmed Attaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad of Algeria; Mr. Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman; Mr. Abdullah Al Yahya, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait; and Mr. Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates.
The conversations focused on deepening bilateral ties and emphasizing the importance of strengthening Arab cooperation, especially during this critical period for the region. Dr. Abdel Aaty underscored the depth of historical and fraternal relations between Egypt and its Arab neighbours, highlighting the positive developments these relations are witnessing under the direction of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. He noted that these efforts contribute to outstanding cooperation and ongoing coordination, not only on a bilateral level but also on regional and international issues.
The ministers also exchanged perspectives on the latest developments in Gaza. Discussions centered on joint efforts by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States to resume the ceasefire, secure the release of a number of hostages and detainees, stop bloodshed, and ensure the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.
Minister Abdel Aaty additionally briefed his counterparts about Egypt’s preparations to host a conference on early recovery and reconstruction in Gaza, which will take place in collaboration with the Palestinian government and the United Nations, as soon as a ceasefire agreement is reached.
These ongoing dialogues underscore the commitment of Egypt and its Arab partners to supporting peace, stability, and regional cooperation in the Middle East.
