Egyptian train driver dies suddenly on duty
In a tragic incident on Friday, a train driver in Egypt's Beheira province, north of Cairo, died unexpectedly in the driver’s cabin. The driver lost consciousness just after the train stopped at Badr station. He was swiftly transferred to Badr Central Hospital, where doctors confirmed his death.
The 43-year-old, a resident of Giza and employee of the Egyptian National Railways, was operating a train from Itai El Baroud to Bashtil in Giza when the incident occurred. Authorities have launched an investigation and followed the necessary legal procedures.
The sudden death comes shortly after the unexpected passing of popular Egyptian singer Ahmed Amer earlier in the week due to a sudden illness.
His passing has prompted leading cardiologist Dr. Gamal Shaaban to warn the public about not ignoring symptoms like indigestion, abdominal pain, and heartburn, as these can sometimes be signs of serious heart conditions.
