Chinese FM calls for global unity and two-state solution in Palestine-Israel conflict
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has urged the international community to firmly support a two-state solution and to build stronger consensus on the Palestinian issue. Following talks in Beijing with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita, Wang emphasized the need for a unified international stance and called for full UN membership for Palestine.
Wang stressed that efforts must focus on achieving a lasting ceasefire in Gaza and alleviating the ongoing humanitarian crisis. He urged influential countries to take their responsibilities seriously and called on the UN Security Council and humanitarian agencies to fulfill their duties.
Highlighting the principle of "Palestinian governance for Palestine", Wang reiterated that both Gaza and the West Bank are integral Palestinian territories, and any post-war arrangements should respect the Palestinian people’s will and protect their legitimate rights.
Expressing deep concern about the prolonged conflict and its devastating impact, Wang called for workable pathways to advance the two-state solution and firmly rejected any unilateral actions that could undermine this goal.
