Macron welcomes Sisi in Arabic
French President Emmanuel Macron shared a photograph with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on his official X account on the sidelines of the G7 Summit currently being held in the French city of Evian.
The photo was accompanied by a friendly message written in Arabic and directed to President El-Sisi's official account, in which Macron wrote: "Nawwart (You light up the place), @AlsisiOfficial."
The image showed the warm reception between the two leaders at the summit's official welcoming venue, reflecting the close friendship and strategic partnership between Egypt and France, particularly in light of ongoing coordination on regional and international issues of mutual concern, MENA reported.
Earlier, Macron also posted a special welcome message in Arabic on his official Facebook page, writing: "Ahlan wa Sahlan, Rais Sisi" ("Welcome, President Sisi").
The post was accompanied by a video showing President Sisi's arrival and reception ceremony set to the famous song "Helwa Ya Balady" by Egyptian-born singer Dalida.
