Egypt FM travels to Jeddah for special OIC ministerial meeting on Somalia
Egyptian Foreign Minister and Minister of Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, has arrived in Jeddah on Saturday. He is attending the extraordinary session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), focusing on recent developments in the Federal Republic of Somalia.
During the session, Dr. Abdelatty is scheduled to deliver Egypt’s official statement, sharing the country’s perspective and support for stability and peace in Somalia. On the margins of the meeting, the Foreign Minister is also expected to hold a series of bilateral discussions with several other participating officials.
This high-level gathering underscores the shared commitment of OIC member states to cooperate on critical issues affecting Muslim-majority nations and to stand in solidarity with Somalia during this pivotal time.
